Does B.U.D.S.2 work with MPI-2/Does B.U.D.S. work with MPI-3?

Both devices are totally compatible with both softwares. With MPI-3 or MPI-2 you can use both B.U.D.S. softwares.

What to do when B.U.D.S. 2 says that there is no VCI?

There are two reasons that could cause that trouble

  • Microsoft Visual C Redistribution pack 2010x86 isn't installed on your computer
  • You have old/outdated driver for brp MPI-3
What are minimum system requirements to install the program BUDS2?

  - Intel i3, i5, i7 or AMD FX or Ryzen processor.
  - Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  - 6 Gb of RAM or more.
  - 600 Mb of hard disk space (SSD drive will greatly improve BUDS2 loading time)
  - VGA or higher resolution display (SVGA).
  - Mouse or other pointing device.
  - One unused USB port.

Is it capable of rewriting fuel mapping?

It can only rewrite fuel mappings on E-tec engines (SkiDoo/Lynx).

What is the difference between Dealer Technician and Mechatronic Expert?

Dealer Technician and Mechatronic Expert are used for B.U.D.S. 2.

Mechatronic Expert license are more advanced. They offer:

  • Changing of the VIN number, MODEL number
  • Advanced settings
  • View stories in hours, rather than percentage
  • Enabling / Disabling DESS
  • Change the key type without reprogramming (normal, learning, rental)
  • Clear the history of the blocks ECM, MPEM (history of substitutions)
  • Cleaning ECM, MPEM, CLUSTER "as new" (resetting the hours to zero and miles/kilometers)
  • View more information blocks
  • Installing Secure Code
  • Edit curves for 2-Stroke vehicles and new E-TEC (Skidoo).
Does the B.U.D.S.2 software work on the MacOs software?

No, it only works on Windows OS

No, Boss Web is only available for official dealers, but you will get access to support site from where you can download latest software updates, workshop manuals, ...

My license has expired, how do I get a new one?

You can renew your license there. All you need is serial number of your MPI device.

I have already bought a license, can I upgrade it to better one?

You can contact us and we will make a reasonable deal. Price depends on the remaining time and the type of your current license.

What is the difference between B.U.D.S. and B.U.D.S. 2?

The main difference is in compatibility with newer models.

B.U.D.S. supports  models produced between:

  • Watercrafts, 2006-2015,
  • Snowmobiles,SSV and Roadsters, 2006-2016,
  • ATVs, 2006-2017.

B.U.D.S. 2 supports newer models:

  • Watercrafts, 2016 and newer,
  • Snowmobiles,SSV and Roadsters, 2017 and newer,
  • ATVs, 2018 and newer.

Keep in mind that B.U.D.S. 2 does NOT support older versions!
