Megatech/Mechatronic Expert key is an advanced key which opens up many features not available to the ordinary dealer!! , changing VIN numbers , disabling DESS theft systems and advanced diagnostics are just some of the things megatech opens that BRP don't want the ordinary dealer messing with!! BRP 4-TEC Desspost unit
- Designed for add/erase DESS keys for 4-TEC models of SeaDoo and Skidoo vehicles.
- Works only in conjunction with the MPI-2 and MPI-3 Interfaces
- This device is connected between the MPI Interface and the diagnostic cable and is used only for procedures with DESS keys.
BRP Power Interface unit
- BRP strongly recommends the use of the power interface and power supply cables to stabilize the unit voltage when using BUDS & BUDS2 during software updates.
- The power interface and power supply cable allows the connection of a fully charged external battery to provide stable voltage to the unit and BUDS / BUDS2. Stable voltage is essential to prevent update crashes
- The power interface and power supply cable connected to external battery can be used for extended diagnostic time
- The power interface with or without the power supply cable will keep the unit powered even if the ignition switch is turned off or the DESS key is removed
- The power interface has a fuse protected voltmeter included and an extra fuse to protect from polarity inversion of the power supply cable
- It's neccasery for BRP vehicles without battery (electric starter)

BUDS Chart
B.U.D.S. is comprehensive multi-language diagnostic software that gives you an insight on BRP® electronic modules. Along with this, you get all the manuals required for setting up the software and a hard copy of the software itself. However, keeping in mind the fact that the software is updated periodically from BRP itself, you will also be eligible to receive unlimited updates for the same through FTP. This is in addition to the license for the B.U.D.S. software so that you can operate it at your convenience without any problems.

Was able to reset the DPS torque offset in my outlander (Small Accident), changed greeting and reset maintenance notification indicator after routine servicing.

Very happy with the tool. I was able to re-calibrate the DPS module and change the greeting using BUDS. Overall an excellent tool! However, I have not been able to activate BUDS2 and I am waiting for support to help me resolve this issue.

Useful Diagnostic and Maintenance Tool
Item was delivered quickly from overseas. Does what it is supposed to do with one exception. I have a 2010 Can Am Spyder RT. The "Keys" tab does not exist in the BUDS software for my model. So after spending some time researching this problem, I came to the conclusion that this is by design. I opened up some of the .mpem demo files and sure enough...no key tab for models before 2014. After 2013, the .mpem demo files had a key tab. This is because BRP changed the DESS system on the spyder. To make or change keys on the earlier models, you need a "Master" key and you follow the procedure in the service manual. There is an alternate way as well, but not using BUDS. I would have still purchased this item, but it would be nice if the documentation stated this limitation for models through the year 2013. Because if you have an older model Spyder, and are going to utilize this function, you will be disappointed.
